Sarasota Opera House presents "Faust -Opera Film". Goethe's classic novel is reimagined by placing a giant black ring centre-stage that casts an ominous shadow over the singers and dominates the action. Director Stefano Poda has moved the storyline of the restless searcher Faust, to an abstract, seemingly futuristic hall, thereby ensuring that the most fa·scinating stage moments are not due only to sophisticated lighting. Admission is $20.

** Selby Library -What can you say except Sarasota County has an outstanding public library system and the Selby Library is a jewel. Get out of the house and browse the books, use their computers, sit and read, or just relax and, of course, it is free.
